We hitting also new territory with this new forums. We looked at many of the other successful diving forums out there to find a good mix of categories and boards for starters.

To improve things and meet your needs and interests it is important to give us some feedback and ideas what you would like to see added and improved!

Thx, the DPI team

i remember reading something about a pros only-zone. why not make this information available to the customers as well, since your a lot more likely to get sincere info on the workings of a particular dc without the bullshit...
also, in comparison to the old forum, this one looks too complicated. and i liked the old design a lot more. particularly those jaws and the red and white fond at the top of the page (pardon me, lsdeep) look like sometihng out of an early 90s video game. or was that the intention? then i disagree...

Well firstly, this is not just a forum BUT a whole new concept to the world of diving, there will be a jobs section, as soon as i get the css sheet fixed, articles, advertising, shopping in fact more of an all round one in all place where people can not only exchange ideas and views but perhaps also find things that they might not find elsewhere............
As to the logo that was my idea for a start until we can find something more appropriate. But you have to admit it's an eye catcher.......... Twisted Evil

the pro's only zone exists - if you look under what's new you will find out how to access it. as for the reason, there are simply discussions that dont really do any good for the diving industry to be held in front of the wide public and on the other hand, i am sure the rec. diver will get no bs information the same way from pro's on the board. but imagine the rec. diver mingeling happily in the discussions about the sense and nonsense of courses and the shortcomings? not so good Wink. the logo excuse i leave to argo at this point Laughing

allright allright, boys, put the diveknives back into their sheaths =)
a comment on the pro section though. what about a "professional links" section within the links? a collection of all the job boards, for example. I'm sure i don't even know half of them, and just the padi one hasn't yielded a job for the winter as of now, so i need some more input plz Mad
and IF you wanna stick with the logo (sorry lsdeep, thought it was yours by your avatar in the old board), at least delete the second "-" in it so it reflects the url of the page properly... Laughing

but serious, still my favourite board =)
