I'm not the rebreather expert but this sounds interesting ... Forget everything about pO2, relax and let the unit handle the controls...all you have to do is breathe...fully automatic...one sensor...HUD with vibrator-this is cool!
Reminds me of Just add water, is it really that revolutionary and advanced?

But Recalling what Cedric Verdier told us and analyzed during our Megalodon course about diving accidents involving rebreathers:
A great percentage of diving accidents are associated with a failure on behalf of the diver to follow carefully the check list before the dive. A lot of accident could have been prevented if the diver would follow the check list before the fatal dive.
Now we have a serious attempt to minimize the check points of this check list and there is a clear shift at least on their marketing campaign towards a shorter check list. "fully automatic concept" aims at eliminating the time consuming process of safety checks. Go through any rebreather check list and you will understand that there is no safety if you don't check everything by yourself before the dive! I am completely against this new concept. Rebreather diving is not a plug and play game! |
