Well, I am still working on the business plan so I hesitate to say too much, but it is generally a Service Company for the Dive Industry. I do have many, many questions to ask of the Professional DIve Community as I build this company, but perhaps the first might be one of the most important..

I am contemplating affiliating with one of the Certification Agencies (though this is not certain). As working professionals, I am sure most on these boards have a lot of experience working with them.

Do you as a community have any feedback on the different Cert Agencies, particularly when it comes to them being supportive of businesses to business relationships? Are any Agencies more open than others? And based on some of the discussions I have read on these and other boards as well as based on conversations I had at DEMA this year, are any Agencies more exclusionary or more difficult to work with than others?

And as far as needing a photographer, that is the career I am currently changing from - www.JasonElias.com

Also, I may post this question in another forum on these boards...

Well, as I mentioned, I am still working on the Business plan and so am hesitant to talk about it too much. But what I can say is that I hope this idea helps Diving reach out to more people as well as cut through some of the informational clutter surrounding Diving right now.

I don't mean to seem disrespectful in not talking too much about this, as I have good intentions and would love for what I am contemplating doing to lift all boats in the business.. And as this idea grows and develops, I hope to privately explain to Dive professionals what I am doing so that I might gain insight from people far more knowledgeable and experienced than myself..

Right now though the idea is still nascent and undeveloped. So that is why I asked the initial question, about where to start and which Cert Agencies were particularly helpful - just the first of hopefully many discussions..

Agencies are in the instructional business, that is where they concentrate their energys. They are probably not going to be able to do much else for you.
