I just got the same but from poklodge@fewamail.com.np. Very annoying. By the way Tom that's not divepro-info.com! I just got it once, but in modified form not the first time. It sux. I forwarded it to Sven, maybe he can do something with it. I think they actually went directly to some ISP's lately with stuff like that.

godd*mn, steve got that pretty straight tom. its not our mail, as you surely will find out yourself when looking at the links a bit closer. please forward me your mail to webmaster (at) divepro-info.com. its not the first today and with diff email addies, half of them from russian spam servers. i will forward all of the stuff to jonathan to look at and deal with. it really gets annoying. by the way - yours is interesting while slightly different. it seems everybody else got the "normal" version of the press release and bad grammar (not that mine is perfect Wink)
anyway, forward please, i apologize for this retards and dont get excited.

Lsdeep

Dear Editor,
I hope I don't get this crap below in my inbox repeatedly based on your doing!
While I am semi targeted traffic, I didn't subscribe to it Sad
I figured you out based on the info in the starting line. At this point I informed Yahoo about this unsolicited spam as well as the host of the site since it arrives here repeatedly from varying email addresses and I am getting sick of blocking ever new addresses. I gather of your website, that you are a press release service. Shouldn't you have in the first place an editorial standard that would have you send PR in unacceptable english back for rewrite??? (I don't claim I am perfect, but I don't publish the stuff to begin with)

ScubaProf is a window (in which window can I throw a big stone?) where diving professionals, can exchange vital information about standards, news, reviews and education systems that are a vital part of any diving professional(s) daily "diving life".

All Regions (Including International) (Scuba PRWire) Thu, 19-Apr-2007 - We all love diving, we are professionals are we are proud of our job. (Well, just to true, if we wouldn't get insulted with this kind of stuff) Dive Center Managers, Instructors, Assistant Instructors or Divemasters. Diving is more than a hobby, diving is what we do and what we try to be good at. (We don't try to be good at it! We are good at it or we are in the wrong business playing with peoples lifes!!! And hell yes, it is more than a hobby, otherwise we wouldnt be called professionals) So the question to ask ourselves is: Do you love the diving industry also? The Diving Industry is a difficult jungle, battles between agencies, employment conflicts, different laws and regulations, and the trends of the moment affect our different dive business models. (Thanks GOD this moron is even 2 steps below the worst divebusiness owner! If people like this had the majority in the diving industry it would be nonexistent by now!)

That?s why ScubaProf.com want's to extend today a serious invitation to you as a diving professional. Please join us in the first scuba diving board just for diving professionals. (There is nothing I can take serious, after a unprofessional offer and spamming my email with it - ScubaPRWire just sunk - without even knowing you before - fairly deep in my opinion, maybe without your own doing)

ScubaProf.com believe that it is important to have a centralized community, where we can identify the ?bad eggs? and demand an industry with better benefits for the diving professionals. (Now, that is unique!!!!! Ok, I was joking! It might have been 5 years ago - the Russians (no insult against Russians) had a "centralized community" also - it fall in the 90ies. Communication problem again or Russian???? ROFL)

We all know diving is not an 8 to 5 job, sometimes we put our heart and soul in a professional that brings us amazing memories, close friends and unique experiences? but as any job we require fair codes of employment and conduct between our peers, the diving agencies and the dive centers. (Amazing, the writer should exchange ideas with Lenin, Freud, Marx and the Unions around the world. As for the first sentence, I can't even make sense out of it - are we supposed to fall in love with our diving instructors??? Demand a "8 to 5 day - I will not!!! And NO, as much as I love my fellow instructors and pro's I will not put my heart and soul into them - Ok very few) That's why we are writing to you today.

ScubaProf.com wants to know your opinion, we want to know your point of view, from your corner in the world.

Are we dreamers? Maybe, but we believe that together we are stronger. So register now and start sharing, for sure you can help us to make a difference and improve our beloved of our underwater job. (If we wouldn't have to look at people like that to actually split it up more and ignore the fact that there are a few good websites out there like Scubaboard, SPA, Diveproinfo Tauchernet that follow this idea for years it would be unique, a worthy cause and so on........)

For more info please check www.*******.com
Thank you for your time,
Tom

OK, this is going to be, hopefully, the last time I have to say this!!

DPI Systems (DivePro-info) is in no way associated, related or in any other way connected to the website sending you this SPAM!! We have enough traffic and members to avoid doing this and even if we didn't, I abhor SPAM and those that use it!

If any of you (DPI members) receive anything of this kind from anyone PLEASE send a complaint to the ISP of the person sending you the junk!!
It's very easy to find a websites ISP, go to www.dnsstuff.com or run tracert on your machine find the IP and then look for the ISP from there you can find the abuse email address to send the complete email with headers.

We don't want to fill up the forums here with this crap, although I can appreciate your wishes to complain............This is unfortunately the wrong place Wink There are better and more satisfying subjects to discuss.

Thanks for your understanding

ArGo
PS for all the people out there that are not comfortable looking for the information mentioned above here it is: If you want ban or block the range
this is it 74.52.0.0 - 74.53.255.255 and here the rest of the info so that you can send your emails to the right place..........IP = 74.52.60.2
