I just got a Nikon D200 for my birthday, now i would like to get it underwater (without flooding it ). So if any of you has a suggestion for a good and affordable housing (it should be capable to get to 150ft min.) i would be glad to hear about it. So far i got shellshocked seeing the prices way beyond the camera prices and way out of my range. |

| You can always count on the houseing costing as much if not more than the camera. Then if ya want lenses you need pports to handle them. Ya get what ya pay for. Sorry I know this isn't what you want to hear. |

yep, years ago, when i was still seriously into u/w photo i had a nikon 801 plus a assortment of lenses (about $3000) and housing plus ports about $4500 not incl. flashes etc.
but if you dont wanna spend much money, just send me the D200 i will happily buy you a reefmaster in exchange! (just kidding) |

Yes, you guys keep dreaming! I will have to wait a bit maybe, sofar i only found nice housings in the range you mentioned and it seems Ebay is not really a option for a used one. I guess it's to new.
As i keep looking, i would be glad for somebody with a suggestion not including our two jokers here. |

I guess, if you are on a budget, you want to look into the Ikelite housing (about $1500) or the Aquatech D2-1s (about $1750 incl. the pro upgrade kit - whats about $400).
If you're not in a hurry, wait a bit and save some cash for a Sea&Sea or Subal housing. But expect to pay between $2500 (Sea&Sea) to $3700 (Subal).
Hope that helps a little....
