About the size of Massachusetts, the Central American nation of Belize is one of the world's top destinations for divers who want to find adventure and try a little bit of everything in one trip -- including one-of-a-kind topside adventures -- without wearing themselves out in the process. Belize boasts 200 miles of thriving barrier reef, including the popular sections of it just off Ambergris Caye, and world-famous atolls -- Lighthouse, Turneffe and Glover's -- three distinctive, ring-like coral reefs, due east of the barrier reef, which feature steep walls, drift dives and a surreal blue hole.
