Gary Levine, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of the Atlantis Reef Project, today announces that the Project has completed the first phase of construction and that it has entered into a strategic partnership with The Neptune Society.

On Thursday, February 22, 2007, the last of 600 tons of concrete structures and sculptures were deployed at the construction site to complete the project launch and first phase of construction. These structures will create the North Entrance to Atlantis, and include two brass gates, with two bronze lions flanking the gates, creating the first of the project?s 41 major sculptures, and the columns and arches to form the beginning foundation of the first major road into the central plaza of Atlantis. Construction units were cast in concrete, and then transported by barge to the site where they are lowered to the ocean floor. Once placed on the ocean floor, the structures were subsequently set upright.

In addition, the Atlantis Reef Project has entered into an agreement with The Neptune Society, Inc. Providers of simple, affordable and dignified cremation services, The Neptune Society, and its affiliate companies; The Trident Society and Neptune Cremation Services will market the Atlantis Projects on an exclusive basis.

"This is an incredibly exciting time in the development of the Atlantis Reef Project," commented Gary Levine. "Not only have we completed the first phase of construction after nearly four years of planning and design, but we signed a historic agreement with the Neptune Society."

Jerry Norman, Chief Executive Officer and President of the Neptune Society, Inc. continued, "I am extremely excited about the agreement to become a partner with The Atlantis Memorial Reef, The Atlantis Reef Foundation and The Atlantis Reef Project! Our partnership will bring significant benefits to all entities, and provide a suitable option to our clients who have expressed interest in taking action to protect our environment and to memorialize a loved one with a positive contribution to our planet."

When completed, there will be approximately 5,000 individual pieces of sculptures and columns, set along five concentric circles with eight spokes on the wheel meeting in a central plaza. The site will cover 600,000 square feet and rise to within 25 feet of the ocean?s surface.

The Atlantis Reef Project, located just 3.25 miles east of Key Biscayne, Florida and fifty feet beneath the ocean's surface, will be the re-creation of the legendary "Lost City of Atlantis" as the world's largest combination artificial reef, dive attraction, underwater art gallery and memorial to people, memories and events. Atlantis will be a place where marine life will flourish, underwater enthusiasts will come to explore and friends and family of the departed will come to remember their loved ones. Built as a memorial reef, those who want to be surrounded by marine life after their time on earth is over can have their cremated remains placed inside the structures of the city.
