The Ocean Explorer owned and operated by Ocean Explorer Charters and Captain Ted Masotti is moving the Ocean Explorer to Pensacola, Florida for the month of May to run recreational and technical dive operations to the USS Oriskany. The 62 foot live aboard dive vessel will operate in the Gulf of Mexico from Pensacola, Florida to take technical and recreational divers to visit and explore the USS Oriskany from May 1st to June 1st.

The Ocean Explorer can accommodate 8 passengers in a live aboard atmosphere with two large, comfortable heads with hot and cold showers. The dive deck is extra large with a roomy work table to accommodate camera and technical gear. It also has a hot and cold shower outside on the dive deck. Above the dive deck is a sun deck with a BBQ and lounge chairs, and the bow of the vessel has a large cushion that covers the entire deck so divers can sunbathe and lounge comfortably during their surface interval. The galley includes an entertainment system with a 24 inch Dell HD flat screen monitor so that divers can view their videos taken during the trip. The trip will include all meals, beverages, sleeping accommodations, all diving, double cylinders, stage bottles, and weights in a fully air conditioned, comfortable salon with a gourmet chef. Full Nitrox and Tri-mix blending is available aboard, but not included in the price.

The 3 day trips during the week (Tuesday thru Thursday) will be $900 and the 3 day trips over the weekend (Friday thru Sunday) will be $1,100. The Ocean Explorer will anchor up on the wreck for 3 overnight days so that recreational and technical divers can get in as many dives as their surface interval allows. The Ocean Explorer also tows a 16 foot inflatable rib with 48 hp engine used as a chase boat incase divers come up too far from the anchored location. The boat will leave the dock from Pensacola, Florida at 6 a.m. and return back to the dock by 6 p.m. the last day.

To reserve your spot now, contact Captain Ted Masotti at 201-906-3613 or by via e-mail, CaptainTed@optonline.net. Our web address it www.OceanExplorerCharters.com. Spaces are limited and deposits are required.
