DEMA participants have more great reasons to visit the Florida Keys & Key West Pavilion #1566, in addition to the Drive & Dive contest that offers dive charters for two people in each Keys region, accommodations, a vehicle to use for one week to travel the Florida Keys Overseas Highway and a full set of ScubaPro dive equipment.

Abyss Dive Center, located at the Holiday Inn, Marathon, is providing a hotel/dive package that will be included in the Drive & Dive promotion. Abyss runs a roomy 34-foot dive boat with a limit of just six passengers. www.abyssdive.com

Amy Slate's Amoray Dive Resort in Key Largo is offering pre- and post-DEMA specials for dive professionals. For a limited time, a room and a dive trip (based on double occupancy) is just $79. Amoray also has launched a major renovation project to upgrade the resort’s grounds and the beach area, and is refurbishing many of the resort’s 31 rooms and apartment suites. www.amoray.com

Conch Republic Divers in Tavernier is offering a DEMA special: show your attendee badge or pre-registration form at the show and get a 20 percent discount on dives. Valid only Nov. 6-13, 2006. Cannot be combined with other discount packages. www.conchrepublicdivers.com

Dive Key West is offering a coupon for 50 percent savings on dive charters. The coupon is valid Nov. 8-22, 2006. www.divekeywest.com

Divers and landlubbers alike can learn about the Keys’ unique ecosystems at the new Florida Keys Eco-Discovery Center in Key West. Interactive exhibits and theater presentations enable visitors to explore nine different Keys habitats, including hardwood hammock, mangrove, patch reef, seagrass, deep shelf and the Dry Tortugas environments. Admission is free of charge. www.floridakeys.noaa.gov

Divers can now enrich their underwater experience with the story of how diving got started at the new History of Diving Museum in Islamorada. The museum has one of the world’s great collections of historic diving equipment, including some of the equipment used by the legendary treasure hunter Art McKee, recognized as the father of recreational diving. www.divingmuseum.com

Quiescence Diving Services in Key Largo offers personalized dive charters in the Florida Keys National Marine Sanctuary on three six-pack boats. www.keylargodiving.com

Also participating in the Keys pavilion are: from Key Largo, Horizon Divers and Island Ventures; from Islamorada, Florida Keys Dive Center, Holiday Isle Dive Resort and Tavernier Dive Center; from Marathon, Capt. Hook’s Dive Center and Marina, and Tilden’s Scuba Center; and from the Lower Keys, Seaclusive Charters.

The first 500 industry professionals who register at the Keys DEMA pavilion will receive a limited edition, United States Postal Service–sanctioned “Longest Reef Off the Florida Keys” pin, a reproduction of one of 40 stamps in the USPS series, “Wonders of America, Land of Superlatives.”
