Most of you are familiar with octopus/inflator combo devices at this point I assume. Excellent examples for this devices are the Scubapro Air2, TUSA, Apeks, Apollo versions to name just a few.
It seems that Aquatec topped them all with the Air3 (the name could have been a bit more inventive - I initially thought it to be a Scubapro next generation model). Anyway, having the well known alternative airsource (AA) and BCD inflator combined is nice but nothing new. Aquatec integrated an airhorn into the still very compact device as well! At about $170 retail it isn't the gadget I run out to buy right now, but....! Assuming I would be on the hunt for a convinient octopus and strongly consider the purchase of an airhorn (to put my increasingly agitated mind to rest about safety and the chance to be found after watching Open Water) plus I need a new inflator anyway (since my old one is very leaky and the estimate of the diveshop was as high for repairs as a new one) it could make a very nice alternative choice.

An innovative device that combines a power inflator with a Second stage and a Sub-Alert underwater horn. Constructed with the most durable materials.
