"Seriously Technical Fins for serious technically oriented divers." says force fin. the concept looks interesting (like many of force fins designs), now i would like to know if anybody actually had a chance to try / use them and what is the verdict.
Launch Pad are foot pockets to which you can attach a variety of blades. The patented twist to the Launch Pad System is that each blade can be adjusted to change its flexibility, pitch, orientation or relationship between you and the water. This allows you to optimize how the fin and water work for you in variable open water conditions.
At this time, the blades are attached with a stainless steel screw. Why? Because it is strong as steel! Hex key provided.
The dynamics of the Fin Blades that attach to the Launch Pad System can be changed with a twist of your wrist while your underwater and underway!
The Launch Pad System is modular. Your Launch Pad Foot Pocket is designed to take on a variety of fin blades.
Fin Blades available to attach to the Launch Pad System below

by the way, with pricing starting at over $500 for the pair of foot pockets and a complete system just shy of $1000 (put a hydro optix mask in top - because futuristic fins need a complementing mask and you spend the $1k easy ) they better be reeeally good |

I love my force fins more and more!!!! And for the medium version I had to pay 250 Euro, special offer at the fair in Düsseldorf.
But are they worth paying 1000Dollars.... That would be too much for me! We are talking about fins and not a FFM or a regulator! |

I had a guest at the resort try to GIVE me a pair of Force FIns - Red, apparently older based on the Pat Pending by the logo....
My conscience made me give her $20 for them. I have to get my digital cam fixed, but I will email it to them & see if they want it for their 'museum' - I suspect these are one of the original pre production design.....and mebbe trade for a new, plain pair.
Can't complain. Either way, I think I could get rid of them on Ebay for more than the $20 than I paid |
