Austin-San Marcos, TX (Scuba PRWire) Thu, 05-Oct-2006 - Terrapin Wetsuits® would like divers to know that we now offer a wide range of colors in Polartec, so they can get custom Polartec suits and accessories in addition to custom neoprene wetsuits, or custom alterations to both existing suits and skins. For many years, Terrapin Wetsuits has offered a wide range of colors and thickness of neoprene, to meet the exacting needs of custom wetsuit clients. Now we offer that same custom service in Polartec. Polartec is a tri-laminate material made in the USA by Malden Mills. It is an appealing alternative to thin wetsuits or nylon skins, because it insulates as well as 1.5 mm neoprene, but contains no sponge rubber foam, so it is neutrally buoyant and won't irritate divers who are allergic to neoprene.
