Description: The Cousteau Society is an organization that serves to raise funds for ocean exploration, research, and conservation. Jacques Cousteau founded the Society in the U.S. in 1973. With offices in Hampton, Virginia and Paris, this organization is responsible for raising funds for environmental research around the globe. With two ships Calypso and Alcyone, the group visits places around the world and documents what they find as well as try to influence environmental politics to "improve the quality of life on the Water Planet." Cousteau himself has commented that the analysis of life forms is not so important as acquiring a sense of how they all interact and present themselves as a living force.

ARSBC - Artificial Reef Society of British Columbia 
Description: The Artificial Reef Society of British Columbia (ARSBC) is a registered non-profit organization based in Vancouver, British Columbia. They began operations in 1989, with the G.B. Church project, and have since sunk 7 ships and 1 Boeing 737. Their mission is to create and maintain artificial reefs for use by SCUBA divers as a means to promote the local economy, the technology and safety procedures involved in creating artificial reefs, promote the use of artificial reefs as a means to minimize the impacts caused by SCUBA divers on other historically significant or ecologically-sensitive sites, and to monitor all developments regarding their artificial reefs for environmental impact and diver safety.
